This notice outlines the personal information (PII/data) that Ocular Care Community may collect, how Ocular Care Community uses and safeguards that information, and with whom we may share it. We may collect different data from or about you depending on how you use the Site.
Communications and support | If you contact us through the contact us section on our website we collect and store your contact information, messages, and other data about you like your name, email address, messages, location, and any other data you provide or that we collect through automated means. |
Account creation | When you create an Ocular care community account or login into your account, we collect personal information such as name, email address, and password. |
Profiling | Your personal profile separates you from the rest of the respondents. Upon becoming a verified member of the Ocular Care community, we seek information such as your Nationality, Ethnicity, Education, Socio economic status, financial, insurance, health, home & family as part of your profiling questionnaire to ensure that we send you relevant surveys and research studies. |
Survey’s | We collect personal information and data through the surveys we conduct, in the survey responses. In certain cases, we may conduct a video conference as part of the survey process. When we collect personal data through this means we will notify you prior to doing so. |
Data from third party sites | You are also given the option to visit us on third-party sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. If you have accessed our Site via a social media platform, we may collect information related to your social media account. Personal information may include your first and last name, location, username, email address, picture, or phone number. |

Technical data about your computer or device, like device type, operating system, and the IP address. This data helps us improve the delivery

Who has access to your data within our organization?
We may provide any of the described categories of personal information to Borderless Access (for Ocular Care Community) employees, consultants, affiliates, or other businesses or persons for the purpose of processing such information on our behalf in order to provide the Service to you. Data may be accessed by our employees who are located outside the EU/UK. In such circumstances, we require that these parties agree to protect the confidentiality of such information consistent with the terms of this Privacy Notice and applicable agreements.
Who do we share your data with outside of our organization, and why?
Third-Party Market Research Companies
Ocular Care Community may also share your personal information with third-party sample/market research companies (individually each a “Third-Party MR Company” and collectively the “Third-Party MR Companies”) for the purpose of identifying survey opportunities that you may be eligible for through those Third-Party MR Companies. If you are eligible for a survey opportunity, the Third-Party MR Company will provide your unique identification number and a survey link to us and we will invite you to participate in the survey. We will not share your name, email address, or phone number with the Third-Party MR Companies. If you have any questions about this data sharing or want to opt-out of the data sharing, please contact us as described hereunder in the last section titled ‘Contact Us’.
We will not share your personal information with third-party companies for their commercial or marketing use without your consent or except as part of a specific program or feature for which you have the ability to opt-in.
Clients
When our clients approach us to conduct a specific survey, we will disclose the responses of the survey to our clients. This information may contain some personal data.
Authorities
We may access, preserve, and disclose information about you to third parties, including the content of messages, if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, applicable law, regulation, legal process, or audits. We may also disclose information about you if we believe that your actions are inconsistent with our Terms of Service or related guidelines and policies, or if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of, or prevent fraud or abuse of, Company or others.
Transfer of business
If we (or our assets) are acquired, or if we go out of business, enter bankruptcy, or go through some other change of control, personal information could be one of the assets transferred to or acquired by a third party.
Retention of Data
Ocular Care Community will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy & Notice, typically until your account is deleted. We will retain and use personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), and resolve disputes.
Ocular Care Community will also retain usage data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Sites and/or Portals, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer periods.
Ocular Care Community shall retain the captured data of panelists who have not completed the registration process while signing up on Ocular Care Community and/ or have been identified as Fraudulent users by the Company. This is to ensure adequate support is provided to all those who could not complete the registration and to prevent misuse of Ocular Care Community surveys and the incentive redemption process.
For the purposes of the above clause, “Fraudulent users” shall mean and include respondents that resort to unlawful means (creating bots, creating multiple accounts etc) of answering surveys multiple times to gain extra rewards or respondents who speed through the survey without paying attention to questions or answers options or respondents who provide incorrect information in the survey when compared with their profiling information and similar users.

Borderless Access is an ISO 27001: 2013 and ISO 27701:2019 certified company and we take adequate steps to help protect your personal information. We employ industry-standard security measures designed to protect the security of all information submitted through the Service. However, the security of information transmitted through the internet or via a mobile device can never be guaranteed. We are not responsible for any interception or interruption of any communications through the internet or for changes to or losses of data.
Users of the Service are responsible for maintaining the security of any password, user ID or other forms of authentication involved in obtaining access to password-protected or secure areas of the Service. In order to protect you and your information, we may suspend your use of any of the Service, without notice, pending an investigation, if any breach of security is suspected.
